Are you looking for a creative gift for the Polish foodie in your life? We all love chocolates and flowers, but sometimes it’s nice to add something creative and personal. Let me suggest a few things to get you started:
1. If you have time to bake, try these Polish gingerbread cookies. The colorful cut-outs were available at every festival I attended in Poland. The cookies above say “I love you.” Do you need heart cookie cutters to get started?
2. I have a Polish pottery heart hanging on the wall in my kitchen. (There’s a loop on the back built into the dish to make this possible.) It makes a nice serving dish; I use it on the table too.
3. How about a painting of the Black Madonna done by an artist in Poland?
4. I use a thermometer in my kitchen every day. Here’s one that’s red and waterproof (because I have dropped my digital thermometer into a pot of liquid before.)
5. A signed copy of my cookbook.
6. A lovely box of Polish snacks – cookies, candies, chips!
Happy baking and shopping!
