I remember making Boston Cream Pies from what was probably a jello mix 35 years ago. I had never heard of Boston Cream Pie before. I liked the mix, but tonight I had The Bostini. There’s no going back. My sister and I split one before heading downtown for our Meet Me at Maynards walk and black bean veggie burger dinner. As we walked, I kept thinking about the cool, smooth texture of the pastry cream and the classic combination of chocolate and orange flavors, and the fact that I still had some Bostinis in the fridge.
My Ikea juice cups are small, so I had eight Bostinis, and delivered most of them to neighbors. I had to share. I was talking about the recipe last night while we were all outside passing out Halloween candy. How can you tell someone about a vanilla pastry cream, topped with an orange chiffon cupcake and lots of chocolate sauce without letting them experience it?
Global Gourmet has posted the recipe, but I haven’t. Unlike my other blog posts, as part of the Heavenly Cake Bakers, I don’t post recipes from this book on the Internet. One of the reasons for this baking group is to encourage readers to purchase the cookbook. That strategy worked on me! After follow the group’s baking adventures for a couple of months, I ordered a copy from Amazon because I wanted join in.

You’re so generous to share with your neighbours! 🙂 I have to check out iKea for these glasses too! I love how you drizzle the chocolate and looks so mouthwatering!

Darling glasses and very lucky neighbors! Ikea has a fantastic new cookbook out that is only available in Sweden. If you pass through on your travels, have a look. The styling and photography is ultra chic. The name of it is something like Homemade is Best.

Looks so yummy – you just want to lick the side of the glass and work your way into the Bostini. I shared mine also.
