Our visit to Sedona included dinner at Shugrue’s. My parents recommend the restaurant, but it had probably been 10 years since they were there. I’m happy to say the food is still very good. We had Salmon Rockefeller. The comment I must make is that the service was absolutely perfect, and this comes from someone who has waited on a lot of tables in her day! The first thing that caught my attention was that as our waiter described the daily specials, he also told us the price. I don’t think a waiter has ever done that for me before, and it’s one of my pet peeves – maybe it’s an accountant thing. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive, and the meal flowed perfectly. Of course, the kitchen staff gets some credit for that too.

Happy 30th anniversary!!! The hot air balloon ride sounds great. My most recent “up in the air” adventure was a couple months ago when I took a helicopter ride above the Grand Canyon. It was awesome!
PS: I’m jealous of those walking in robes and slippers OUTSIDE. It’s cold and very snowy here in MN.

What a great way to celebrate! Congrats!
It’s amazing how service can make or break a meal, regardless of the food, glad you had a good one for such an important meal!

Nicola,
Thanks so much. I don’t think you can get a bad photo with those red rocks.
Hanaâ,
Thanks! You are a brave soul; a helicopter over the Grand Canyon sounds amazing!
Molly,
Thanks to you too. I’ve decided to join your 1000+++ challenge.
