I woke up to the news this morning of the Pope resigning. Ed has heard from two different Polish friends that this is the first sign. The second sign? If the College of Cardinals elects a black Pope, it will signify that the end of the world is near.
Do any of you know the origin/background of this though?

I googled black pope and got quite a few 'interesting' hits. Something about the prophecies of St Malachi- that was mentioned in most of them, and then Revelations was mentioned, too.
