The Polish Housewife Cookbook
In response to reader requests, The Polish Housewife Cookbook has arrived. In it, you’ll find 54 traditional Polish recipes. Each with a color photo (my favorite part of any cookbook). Categories include:
- Main dishes
- Side dishes
Easy recipes range from Żurek (a uniquely Polish soup) to a beet salad with apples and a hint of horseradish to Kotlet schabowy. For more adventurous readers, there are instructions on fermenting sour pickles, making sauerkraut, and smoking homemade sausage.
Many of the recipes are new and have not been previously published on my website. Some of the recipes are popular favorites from my food blog, many of those have been dressed up with new photos.
Whether you grew up on Polish food and are looking to reconnect with fond memories, or you enjoy trying out new cuisines, this cookbook is for you.
About the author
Cooking has been something I enjoyed from a young age. When I first went to Poland in the fall of 2009, I had just started a food blog.
The years I spent living in Poznań and traveling to other Polish cities allowed me to learn a lot about Polish cooking. I’m happy to say that I’ve been able to share what I’ve found about Polish recipes with readers around the globe.
I love learning about family traditions surrounding food. It’s rewarding to be able to remind someone of their culinary heritage or to answer the question, “how can I recreate a dish enjoyed while vacationing in Poland?”
What others are saying about The Polish Housewife Cookbook
In our current society, many of us are looking to the past, to tradition, to our time as children to find comfort and peace, and to make sense of the world. The Polish Housewife Cookbook offers an amazing set of recipes which are both foreign to me, while at the same time very familiar. Not only delicious but easy to prepare, these recipes are the type that brings families to the dining room to sit down and enjoy a comforting meal together.

You can place your order here. The cost is $25. You’ll have a choice between a coil binding (which will lay flat when in use) and a perfect binding (glued) which stacks nicely and is more stable sitting on a bookshelf.
Please include to whom I should dedicate the book. Remember this dedication is coming from the author. You may want to add your own more personal dedication before gifting the book.
If time is of the essence, it’s better to order from Amazon. They can fulfill orders more quickly than I can.
I sign and mail cookbooks once a week on either Friday or Saturday.
An e-book version will be released in 2020. It will include metic conversions and may be better suited for my international friends.
