We took it a football match last night, not Lech Poznan but the national team. Poland took on Hungary in our local stadium and won 2 – 1. To my untrained eye, the play seemed faster and the players more aggressive about taking the ball away. But what really caught my eye was the red and white Polish gear rather than our usual blue. Just check out the varriety of red and white head wear:

Poland in white and red; Hungary in red and white (thank goodness for their green socks!) |
Not everyone was sporting red and white |

Want to see red and white? See a volleyball match when Poland is playing another country? I love the Catholic sisters with their red and white scarfs. I hope I'm not culturally insensitive when I say I decided they were Polish first and Catholic second!

Lori – we'll try to take in a volleyball match. We need to check out the women's basketball too.
