I read about the organic market at Plac Bernardynski months ago, but we finally made our first visit over the weekend. As you might expect, there are fewer vendors than during the week. Saturday is the only day that it’s organic only. We bought a big bag full of organic veggies for soup and some apples. The cost was just under $5, so it seemed like a real bargain compared to organic shopping at Whole Foods in the U.S. And I have to add that although smaller, the apples are such much better than what we’ve been buying at the super market.

Hi – We are visiting Poland In July, including Poznan. Please let me know what else do you know about the events at Plac Bernardynski. Are there markets at that location frequently? Flea Markets too? Thanks for anything you can share. We enjoy reading your blog. Jim in Minneapolis

I wasn't aware of an organic outdoor market anywhere in Poland. Certainly, here in Wrocław there's one once or twice a year and there's an indoor one every fortnight in Falanster, but the one in Poznań sounds impressive.
How much is 5 dollars in złoty?

Jim – I want to recommend http://www.visitpoznan.info to you. Lots of info on what's going on and English speaking tour guides.
Czary kapturek – $5 would be 15 zl. I think we're really fortunate to have this outdoor market. We also have a small organic market at Poznan Plaza mall.
