We have season tickets for Lech Poznan, our local soccer club, but we watched the game on television last night. There was some unruliness after Lech Poznan lost to Legia Warszawa in Warszawa last week for the Poland Cup. I did not hear about anyone being hurt and damage to property was minimal.
In response, the governor of our region, Wieklopolskie, ruled that there would be no fans in the stands for last night’s game. It seems like overreacting to me, but they piped in recorded fan noise for the team, and they won their match 2:0.

Can you imagine what would happen in the US if that happened? There might not be fans at the game, but there'd be rioting in the streets!

Sue – right you are; quickly followed by a class-action lawsuit.

I stand corrected, my husband heard yesterday that there were big screen televisions setup outside the stadium and huge crowds watching and cheering from there. The crowd noise we heard on TV may not have been "canned" after all.
this was the 4th time that Lech Poznan has played without fans in the stands for one reason or another. It's the first time they've won.

Me and some friends from the UK want to come over and see a Poznan match next season, what are the chances of buying tickets?
