What a great concert Sunday night! The rain stopped; the bleachers were dry. The air was cool, crisp and filled with the bold Bond sounds of the orchestra and their vocalists. The conductor wore something that I would refer to as a lamé smoking jacket if it were shorter and more tailored, but since it wasn’t, we’ll call it a metallic bathrobe. What else is a man to wear when playing the music of Bond, James Bond? I guess he could wear a tuxedo, but for classical musicians, that’s nothing special.

We also went to an outdoor concert on Sunday. "Star Spangled Salute" by Houston symphony – it ended with Tchaikovski's 1812 overture. It was very nice!
