Ethno Port 2011 and Golf

June 20, 2011 by Lois Britton Leave a Comment

There was a lot going on in Poznan over the weekend.  I won two tickets to a music festival near the river – Ethno Port.  There were groups performing in multiple venues and workshops going on for 3 days.  Again, The Dubliner supplied Ed’s favorite local beer for the event.  We went back Saturday night for dinner.  The kabobs were great; sad to say the sausage left a bit to be desired.

We spent Saturday at Kalinowe Pola, an out and back trip to what is currently the closest golf course to Poznan.  The course is beautiful.  I  love looking at the greenery; it’s still a novelty to me.  The course seems to be rather new.  They’re operating out of a very small pro-shop.  A clubhouse is under construction and they’re starting to build a couple of homes along the course.  I walked 18 holes while Ed and Woody played.  It was over 5.5 miles.  I would have been really tired if I’d been playing too.  I get A LOT of golf for my money.

We didn’t find time to squeeze in the dog-frisbee competition at the Citadel Park or the horse show.  Maybe next year.
