Another chocolate dessert wine! This one is cream based, reminiscent of Bailey’s. When I bought Amore at Total Wine, an employee recommended this. My husband actually prefers this over Amore – more of a chocolate flavor. Also in it’s favor, the bottle is twice the size and one-third the cost, about $8 as I recall. Amore may still be my favorite, but this is a great after dinner drink.
At first, the thought of chocolate, cream and wine together seems a little unusual. Don’t let this put you off. To me, the most noticeable traits were the chocolate and cream. I could tell there was something alcoholic in the mix, but I wouldn’t have guessed red wine.
PS – I feel like I’ve stumbled upon a trend in the making. This innocuous post is one of the most frequently read on my blog – usually the result of a google search.

I think of it as an after dinner drink or maybe with a Sunday brunch. Would probably be great in coffee too!

It is simply a superb girl’s night bottle as well!

My google search was for a recipe using ChocoVine which this didn’t show but I’m glad I clicked. I like ChocoVine (wine in general) – and am glad to be enlightened to the Amore – would love to try that too!
