Poznan International Ladies Club Christmas Charity Ball

December 12, 2011 by Lois Britton 1 Comment

Saturday the 10th was the PILC Christmas Ball, an annual tradition that raises funds for a local charity.  This year, our auction and raffle brought in over 28,000 zloty (about $9K) for Bread of Life, a Polish foundation, founded by a young couple from Chandler, Arizona.  Bread of Life just celebrated it’s 10th anniversary.  Their mission is to reach out to at risk children, the homeless, addicts, etc., showing God’s compassion and teaching the skills needed to succeed in society

This auction item, custom made lingerie, went for 3800
A popular raffle item – Belgian beer from Kriek
Do you have a paycheck in Poland?  Your 1% can go to Bread of Life

The 10th with was a day with a lot to offer,  Attending the ball meant that we missed watching the Grand Derby- Real Madrid vs. Barcelona, and we missed the Lanterns of Freedom event which took place along the Warta river commemorating Human Rights Day.
