Description

A classic American breakfast, so much better when made from scratch!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar or honey
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat griddle to 375
  2. Combine eggs, buttermilk, and oil
  3. Add flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
  4. Stir only until large lumps disappear, too much mixing will make for tough pancakes
  5. Pour onto a lightly greased griddle
  6. Cook until bubbles form and edges are cooked
  7. Flip pancakes and brown other side

Notes

If you find yourself without buttermilk, add 2 tablespoons of vinegar and milk to make 2 cups, let it sit for a few minutes and you’re ready to go!
