A rich buttery pound cake, that can be dressed up in so many ways
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1/2 t. baking powder
- 1/4 t. baking soda
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 t. vanilla
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325
- Cream butter and sugar
- Add eggs one at a time
- Combine dry ingredients and add to batter alternating with buttermilk and vanilla
- Pour batter into a lightly buttered 9 x 5 loaf pan
- Bake for approximately one hour at 325 degrees.
